Excellent for Plastic Models
For decades I’ve used an X-Acto #12/212 blade to detach plastic model kit parts from their sprues. It seems to handle just the right amount of pressure to cut cleanly without damaging or deforming delicate parts, which even the finest diagonal or side cutters can often do. The gently curved blade allows one to rock it back and forth when making a cut through thicker sprue, unlike the typical triangular #11 blade supplied with most hobby knives. Highly recommended for this purpose.
