Dr Zooch Flying Model Rocket Kit 38 Saturn IB Apollo 5
A model with the Apollo 5 markings and appropriate height.
Skill Level 3
This is a semi-scale, or ant-scale flying model for the Apollo 5 Saturn IB. The completed model stands ~13.67 inches tall and uses 18 mm B's or C's best flights are with C6-7s, Some skill is required in building this model, but if you can open the box without cutting off a thumb, you can likely build this kit in a few days. Flights of up to 900 feet can be had. Apollo 5 was a one-of-a-kind Saturn IB that was launched with a legless Lunar Module aboard which was tested in orbit by remote control. Thus, the rocket carried an Apollo adapter topped with a simple nosecone. This kit is in scale with our other Dr. Zooch Saturn I and Saturn IB kits, so you can add it to your set. Or, if you are a collector you can just pay way too much money for it, store it in a climate controlled room for a couple of decades and then sell it to someone else for beyond way too much money. Either that or just have the satisfaction that you have an Apollo 5 Saturn IB.
