BSI 404 Cyanoacrylate(CA) Super Glue 1oz Super Thick - Red Label and 2oz Accelerator

Maxi-Cure™ extra thick CA is the best CA for most plastics, including GE’s Lexan MAXI-CURE™ is the best choice for plastic model assembly. When used with INSTA-SET™, it works better than any putty for modifying or filling voids. It can be carved with a knife or razor blade and sanded and feathered to form a finish indistinguishable from plastic. MAXI-CURE™ bonds fiberglass, hardwood, metal and rubber better than any other hobby adhesive. For gluing to the inside, cloth textured surface of fiberglass, scrape the area to be bonded with a razor blade or coarse sandpaper before using MAXI-CURE™ or any other adhesive. It also is best for bonding the tires for R/C cars

INSTA-SET™ is a catalyst which acts as an accelerator that allows CAs to quickly cure in thick layers by enhancing the alkaline conditions during polymerization. INSTA-SET™ in a spray bottle is normally used to cure the CA that flows from joints when parts are pressed together. Applying an additional bead of thick CA along a seam and then curing it with INSTA-SET™ significantly enhances a joint’s strength. For difficult to bond materials, INSTA-SET™ can be applied to one surface and CA to the opposite surface. When brought together, they will bond instantly. INSTA-SET™ is formulated with a strawberry scent and activates CA in 6 to 8 seconds without any degrading of the CAs strength, which can occur with many other accelerators. It is compatible with all surfaces, even clear plastic and white foam

BSI's Pocket CA

The Pocket CAs feature a top that has a pin built into the cap that covers the nozzle. This pin seals the bottle so that if it is tipped over, the bottle will not leak. This makes the Pocket CAs ideal for keeping in your tool, range or field box, just like our IC-Gel. One disadvantage that the Pocket CA top has is the bluntness of the nozzle. This makes it more difficult to apply small amounts of the CA, especially in tight places. From the feedback we have received, it appears about 25-30% of users prefer the Pocket CA top, which means that over 70% prefer our standard top for general bonding purposes. Most users are buying both types. Our original top for the workshop, and the Pocket CA for use out in the field. The 3/4 oz. Pocket CAs are available in BSI's Insta-Cure, Insta-Cure+, Maxi-Cure and Super-Gold+. BSI's extender tip #304 works on the Pocket CA and all our other tops

Directions:

Maxi-Cure™ – Unscrew top from nozzle. For finer applications, use the extender tip. Apply Maxi-Cure™ CA to one side of the parts being joined, then hold them tightly to- gether for 10-20 seconds. For larger bonding areas, apply serpentine beads of the CA with enough spacing to allow for the spreading of the adhesive. Insta-Set™ accelerator can be sprayed to cure the CA that oozes from joints. Full strength is reached in three hours. Wipe the nozzle clean before replacing screw-on top. Refrigerate to extend shelf life. Cured CA is stable from -40 to 220° F. Soak extender tip in acetone for cleaning

Insta-Set™ – After joining parts with cyanoacrylate (CA, super glue), spray the seams with Insta-Set™ to cure the CA in 8 seconds. A bead of CA can then be applied to the outside and corners of joints before another application of Insta-Set™ to reinforce their strength. Insta-Set™ can also be applied to one part (with CA on the other) before joining for difficult to bond materials. Insta-Set™ is compatible with all surfaces, including clear plastic and all foams. It also is a great cleaning agent for adhesive residue and scuff marks. Store separately from CAs
